Teaching Probability – Statistics towards Training Occupational Skills for Economic Majored Students – Case Study at Lac Hong University Viet Nam

Abstract


Reaching a high quality of the standard learning outcomes is an important innovation in teaching and training at Lac Hong university. The knowledge and occupational skills equipped for students before graduation are clearly stated. However, a big problem is "How to teach disciplines which are major in Basic science and General knowledge to get the standard learning outcomes?". Based on the analysis of the current situation of teaching Probability – Statistics course at school. We have given out some measures to train occupational skills of economic-majored students, which aim at teaching this subject in order to meet the build standard learning outcomes, such as: problem solving, teamwork, application of information technology, algorithm-like thinking, gathering, representing and processing statistic numbers, etc.
